The company owns the Goodfish-Kirana Property and the Arnold Property and has an option on the Kirkland Lake West and Central properties, all located just several kilometres from the town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
The properties comprise 18,884 hectares making Warrior Gold the 2nd largest landholder in the historic Kirkland Lake Gold Camp, which is part of the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
The Abitibi Greenstone Belt is recognized as one of the world’s highest grade and productive greenstone belts with more than 200 million ounces of gold produced to date, with approximately 47 million ounces having been produced in the Kirkland Lake Gold Camp.
The Goodfish-Kirana property is the company’s flagship property and has been the focus of its exploration efforts over the last several years.
The property is 11.5 km long by roughly three km wide and contains three major structural trends: the east-west trending Kirana Deformation Zone; the Kirkland Lake Main Break, and the Victoria Creek Deformation Zone, as well as the northeast-trending Goodfish Mineralized Zone which is host to several of the past producing mines from the 1930’s.
The property contains numerous high-grade and anomalous gold showings, as well as 18 historical pits and underground workings.
Exploration is currently focused on the Goodfish patents, targeting the “A” Zone and the “C” Zone.
Since 2018, Warrior has drilled 49 diamond drill holes totalling approximately 11,000 metres in four drilling campaigns, intersecting anomalous or high-grade gold in almost 90% of the holes drilled.
Highlights include 104.5 grams per tonne over 1 metre.
