New Break Resources Ltd (CSE:NBRK) is one of the latest new listings on the Canadian Securities Exchange, trading under the symbol “NBRK”.
New Break is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company with projects in northern Ontario and Nunavut.
Michael Farrant, President and CEO, stated: "Successfully completing a listing of New Break's common shares on the CSE is a significant milestone and comes just under two years after acquiring our Moray property. As a private company, we assembled over 190 shareholders, raised sufficient capital to allow us to complete a non-offering prospectus, attracted an extremely talented team of mining professionals that makes up our management, board of directors and advisory group and were awarded a grant of up to $200,000 under the Ontario Junior Exploration Program. While having our shares trade publicly gives our shareholders liquidity and allows the Company greater access to capital, it does not change the already high standards at which we operate in terms of corporate, social and environmental responsibility and good governance. We will continue to advance our mineral property interests giving the highest regard to all of our stakeholders, including our shareholders and the communities in which we operate. I hope that all of our shareholders are proud of the Company we've built to date and continue to support us on the path to discovery."
The company is focussed on its 100% owned Moray Gold Project, located approximately 49 km southeast of Timmins, Ontario, which comprises 14 contiguous mining claim units encompassing approximately 1,856 hectares.
The earliest exploration on Moray dates back to the 1950’s, with the first drilling completed in 1964 and 1965 by Voyageur Explorations Ltd. and Silvermaque Mining Ltd.
6 holes were drilled in December 1964 and January 1965 for a total of 433 metres, at what is now the Voyager gold and copper showing.
Results from hole 64-2 included 11.31 g/t Au and 0.46% Cu over 1.2 metres at a depth of 18.7 metres.
Other past operators include SGX Resources Inc., who drilled 5 holes totalling 776 metres in December 2012.
SGX also completed prospecting and trenching programs during the summer of 2012.
The assay results included 21.80 g/t Au from Trench 12, immediately east of the Voyager Showing, hosted in mafic volcanics and 2.47 g/t Au from Trench 1 at the Fiset Showing, hosted in syenite intrusive rocks and 2.17 g/t Au from Trench 15, hosted in mafic volcanics.
With 4 projects in Nunavut, the company provides its shareholders with significant exposure to the vast potential for exploration success in one of the most up and coming regions in Canada for gold exploration and production.
The shares are trading at $0.11.
